Prof. Jirri Komarek (Department of Algology, Institute of Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Czech Republic)
Project manager was trained in the laboratory of Prof. Jirri Komarek in the field of isolation of cyanobacteria from nature and their culturing in laboratory conditions. Prof. Jirri Komarek performed taxonomic revision of the obtained strains of cyanobacteria. Cyanobacterial isolates were used in the experiments planned in this project.

PhD Tomasz Jurczak (Department of Applied Ecology, University of Łódź)
Cooperation in the field of cyanobacterial toxins. Cyanobacterial strains investigated in this project were analyzed by Dr. Tomasz Jurczak in terms of their toxicity using advanced chromatographic method: HPLC-DAD.

Doc. Jussi Meriluoto (Department of Biosciences at Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland).
Cooperation in the field of cyanobacterial toxins. Strains investigated in this project will be analyzed in terms of their toxicity (cylindrospermopsin / microcystins) using advanced chromatographic methods (MC-MS-MS). Also, toxic strains will be used in the experiment testing the effect of Daphnia infochemicals and direct grazing on toxin production. These analyzes will be conducted since February to the end of April in Department of Biosciences at Åbo Akademi University in Turku.
